This was our harvest for one day. We originally started out garden out with four plants and within a couple of years they have grown greatly! Our strawberry patch has been out of control producing fruit this year! Last year we hardly got anything off of them and this year it has been crazy!! I am at the point that I don't want to see another strawberry for a long time! I have already made freezer jam with sure-jell. And trust me we have enough to get us through the next year! Strawberries were still popping up so I figured why not try some cobbler!?! I found a recipe that called for a cake mix and a can of sprite with frozen fruit and decided to give it a shot. I cute up all of my berries and put them in a 9x13 pan. I sprinkled an entire box white cake mix over the entire top of the berries. You then dump a can of sprite on top of it all. DO NOT MIX IT!!! It may look weird, but it will really turn out okay! If you mix it up, it turns out cakey. I used an entire can of sprite zero and found it to cause the strawberries to have too much liquid. Next time I will use maybe 1/2 a can to 3/4 a can of sprite. It was a hit with the kids and the husband....and we all know that this is what matters! Enjoy! It is about to be cherry season for me now!

Wild Kratt's Birthday!!
My boy has been absolutely obsessed with the TV show Wild Kratt's. I can't complain either because he actually learns stuff watching it! His 7th birthday was quickly approaching and he decided that's what kind of birthday he wanted. Of course I went scouring the internet and only found a handful of sites, so I took some ideas and ran with them! Here is what he got!
Since Wild Kratt's is all about animals, that's what we did! I bought the Zoo Pal plates and found camo and zebra striped napkins and table clothes at the store. I used a marker and colored in zebra stripes on the cups to hold the silverware. His cake was the difficult part. He really wanted something with the Kratt brothers on it. I couldn't find any figures so I printed them off on some cardstock and taped them to some skewers and stuck them in the top of the cake. I think it turned out pretty well!
For party favors, I found a little blog online that had created bags with firefly facts and fish facts, so I took that idea and changed it up a bit! I still used the firefly and fish, but added animals too! The firefly bags had glow bracelets in them, the fish bags had goldfish crackers in them, and the animal bags had chocolate and vanilla animal crackers in them! I just created textboxes in word and changed the colors up and printed them off.
The best part of it all was his creature power suit I made! The Kratt brothers wear these suits and put a creature disk in the suit and change into that creature.
I just took a black t-shirt and cut off the sleeves and trimmed off the bottom of it to make it a bit shorter for the vest. I took some blue felt to use for the shoulder stripes and the circle underneath the power disks. It was also used for the palm and tips of the gloves. I found pics of the creature disks online, printed them off, laminated them, and cute them out. I attached Velcro to each disk to attach to the vest. Here he is in all his glory!
These are some of the images I used to make the creature disk.

Sissy Bear's 1st Birthday!!
(That's the princess bear on her actually birthday with her royal guards, Sydney and Sadie, at her side!)
Our baby bear is finally 1! The year seems like it has flown by. So much has happened through the year and we are so grateful just to be alive and healthy! Delaney has earned the nickname of bear throughout her first year of life so I figured why not a bear theme for her 1st birthday! The nickname is because sometimes she is a honey bear or a sugar bear and sometimes she is a grizzly bear...hahahaha! I made her little cupcakes that her brother bear helped decorate! We used teddy grahams on some and then made paw prints on others. We used peppermint patties and junior mints to do this! Here they are:
We also made bear snack mix. It had teddy grahams (honey and chocolate chip), mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and honeycomb cereal.
Everything was pretty much pink, white, and purple, of course because she is a girl! Her cake was a bear face I made. I melted Hershey kisses down and made the nose and eyes with them. I had it all finished when brother bear told me it needed something. It was the bow!
Her birthday outfit was a tutu I made on whim the night before! I had bought the bear hugs shirt at a garage sale for a $1 and couldn't pass it up and not have her wear it!
Here is our sissy bear!
That's me, brother bear, and sissy bear!
Woodland Baby Mobile
I looked and looked and looked for a gift for a very good friend for her baby shower. She is the one we held the shower for in the woodland animal theme. I found all of these felt animals on pinterest and thought for sure this is something I could do. I took a swing at it and this is what I ended up with!
I made all of the animals out of felt. I stuffed and handstiched them. I also added a little glue behind things such as the owl's wings or the deer's face or the tree's dots.

THE WOODLAND BABY SHOWER
WOWZA!!! What a baby shower! We all pulled together greatly, coming from all different locations with our tasks....it was AWESOME!!! One had the games, one had the food/cake, and my BFF and I got the luxury of invites/decor. I took sooooo many pics of everything that we did, that I pretty much forgot to take pics of the people that came. I am sure it was because I needed to document all of the hard work we put into everything!
Angry owl treat bag
Silly owl treat bag
Woodland snack mix
*this was in all of the treat bags too*
(teddy grahams-chocolate chip and honey, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, cheerios)
Party favors
*blow pops with labels that read "look who is ready to POP"*
Our baby Quinn banner we made
*after the party we hung it over the crib*
Everything was green and yellow, even though Quinn was a girl, momma thought she wasn't going to subject her baby girl to pink
hahahaha....that didn't happen when it came to gifts!
Her "Q" spice cake
And her Woodland mushroom cupcakes

Happy 40th my friend!
This should have been posted months ago, but so many things have happened that I never got the chance! I saw all of these ideas on Pinterest with a jar full full of bubblegum saying "50 blows" and then a box of suckers saying "50 sucks" and I just decided to combine the two. It was a very good friends birthday and she was turning the big 4-0! The day of her birthday my son become very ill and was hospitalized and I never got the chance to give this to her that day. Needless to say she did get it eventually....
I filled the inside of the jar with bubblegum, dum dum suckers, and blow pops. I put a piece of fabric under the screw on lid and decorated the jar with some scrapbooking paper and stickers. (I lost two of my "S" stickers in transport and had to use a marker to fill in for them)
